  • We kindly request that all tours are by appointment only. You can schedule your tour here.

  • Yes. Licensed caterers of your choice are permitted. We do require that who you select as your caterer has serviced a previous event at the Sugar Pine Barn, or a meeting arranged prior to your event, so you can be assured they are personally invested in the success of your wedding day.

  • No. The Sugar Pine Barn provides an incredible venue, tables, upgraded chairs and premium wine glasses. Linens can be rented through www.ellenschaircovers.com, but are NOT included in the rental fee. You are also welcome to bring your own linens.

  • Our preferred form of payment is check.  We are able to accept a credit card. A 3% surcharge will be imposed on the credit card transaction.

  • Fireworks are not permitted. This includes sparklers.  We don’t want to scare the neighbors and we want to keep the fire department happy!

  • For safety, battery operated candles only. No wax candles with flames are allowed.

  • You can apply for your marriage license in-person at the Benton County Auditor’s office or online here.

  • Yes.  When the contract is signed, to continue holding the date, we require a 50% deposit. One week prior to the event the remaining fee will be due.  If paying the balance by check, the check would be due two weeks prior to the event. You are welcome to send smaller, partial payments of any amount prior to the specified due date, so in effect creating your own payment plan on your own schedule.  Full payment is due by the specified due date.  We also reserve the right to request a credit card on file for any damages to the facility or grounds.

  • To reserve a date email us at events@tucannoncellars.com saying you are ready to book XYZ date if it is still available. We suggest you email us stating you are ready to book your preferred date and then include a backup date in case your preferred date is unavailable. Prior to booking a date, we hope you are able to come out in person to visit the property. You can request a tour (or a Facetime tour if you live out of the area) on our tour request page here but an in person tour is not required prior to booking a date. Dates are reserved on a first requested basis. Whomever has requested to start the contract process from us by email first for a specific date will be first in line.

  • Unlike many venues, the Sugar Pine Barn has climate-controlled indoor space in case of rain and wind. This means that in the case of inclement weather the venue doesn't have to be "flipped" from your ceremony to the reception. Reception tables are all available to be setup prior to the ceremony and need not be moved in case of rain. This ensures a smooth transition into the reception and makes the decision to bring a ceremony inside (or not) much less stressful. 

  • Music and activities must conclude by 10:30 p.m. per Benton County noise ordinance and out of respect for our neighbors. 

  • One week.  A meeting will be scheduled to discuss final details one week prior or sooner.

  • All items brought to the Facilities must be removed no later than 11:30pm on the event date. Tucannon Cellars team members provide standard cleaning of the Facilities which includes taking down tables and chairs, disposal of trash, maintaining and cleaning restrooms and floor.

  • At the Sugar Pine Barn we only host one wedding each day to ensure that each couple's event is special and receives our full attention.

  • All wine must be purchased from Tucannon Cellars.  Champagne and beer can be purchased from an outside source.  NO distilled spirits/hard alcohol allowed.  Bar service staff is included with the rental fee. Guests are NOT allowed to bring their own alcohol onto the premises. A Washington State Banquet Permit must be obtained if beer or champagne will be served and can be purchased online at the Washington State Liquor Control Board here.

  • Yes.  There are several Airbnb options nearby and hotels options in West Richland and Richland, WA that offer group rates.

  • We are dog friendly, with some specific stipulations. Dogs are allowed with pre-approval.  Dogs must be on a leash and someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom.

  • You will have access to the venue at the time listed on your contract, not earlier. Please plan accordingly. 

  • We are also a busy and working winery.  For that reason, all deliveries must happen during the standard rental period.  Please advise your vendors of this policy.

  • We request that no holes are placed in the walls.  The beams at the Sugar Pine Barn are very tall and not reachable by a ladder.  For this reason, we do not allow for anything to be hung from the beams. We hope that you will find them beautiful without any extra work!
